Ellen Beswick, Editor-in-Chief, founded Intelligence Press in 1981 with the first
issue of Natural Gas Intelligence. Before that she served as associate editor of London
Oil Reports and as a general and political reporter for United Press International,
the Boston Herald, and American Metal Markets. She has a B.A. in English from Wilson
College, Chambersburg, PA.

Alexander B. Steis, Managing Editor, joined the staff of NGI in June of 2000. He
received his bachelor's degree in Business Management from Syracuse University in New York
in May of 2000.

Susan Parker, Senior Editor, joined the staff of NGI in 1994. Prior to that she
reported for Natural Gas Week and The Oil Daily in Washington D.C. and for
Iron Age Magazine and the Houston Post in Houston. She received her bachelor's
degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.

David Bradley, Senior Editor, joined the staff of NGI in June, 2007 following
eight years of news reporting for Northern Virginia newspapers and more than a dozen
years in the telecommunications industry. He received his bachelor's degree in
Communications and English from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA., and
his master's degree in Information Management from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.

Charlie Passut, Associate Editor, joined the staff of NGI in February 2011. Before
this he was a reporter for the Tidewater News and a copy editor for the
Manassas Journal Messenger. He also served as systems administrator and web editor
for the Oakland Press, and traveled extensively as a software installer/trainer
for Baseview Products. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's
degree in political science in 1992.

Joe Fisher, Senior Editor, was a member of the Intelligence Press editorial staff
from December 1995 until April 2000. He returned to Intelligence Press December 2005.
During his absence, he was the editor of Hart Energy Publishing's "Energy Markets"
magazine. Joe has more than 20 years of reporting/writing experience, nearly all of it
in the energy industry. He also has worked for daily newspapers in Louisiana and Ohio,
covering, at various times, business, education, features and entertainment. He has a
bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Kent State University in Ohio.

Carolyn L. Davis, Senior Editor, joined the editorial staff of Intelligence Press Inc.
in Houston in May, 2000. Prior to that, she covered regulatory issues for environmental
and occupational safety and health publications. She also has worked as a reporter for
several daily newspapers in Texas, including the Waco Tribune-Herald, the Temple Daily
Telegram and the Killeen Daily Herald. She attended Texas A&M University and received

Patrick Rau, CFA, Director of Strategy & Research. In this role he has helped
to develop NGI's Shale Daily publication along with its Unconventional Rig Count
and Shale Price Index data. He provides ongoing leadership for content development and
stays abreast of changes in the pipeline grid impacting NGI's Price Indexes. Overall,
Pat has more than 15 years experience in the oil & gas industry, including time
spent as a sell-side equity research analyst covering natural gas pipelines for the Bank
of Montreal, and as a financial analyst and internal consultant for the Amerada Hes
Corporation. Pat received his B.A. in Economics from the College of William & Mary,
and his M.B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University.

Richard Nemec, West Coast Correspondent in Los Angeles, began writing for NGI
in 1995 and has 30 years experience in the energy industry. He holds BA from the
University of Southern California, Los Angeles; and a MA in journalism from
Northwestern University, Evanston, IL; and completed MBA courses at Northwestern's
Evening Graduate School of Management.

Bill Burson, Associate Editor, Markets, has covered energy markets for Bloomberg,
Reuters, McGraw Hill, and more recently NGI where he serves as an Associate Markets Editor.
As a former geologist and petroleum industry financial analyst, he is experienced in
dealing with a wide range of energy issues and events. His industry experience ranges
from price forecasting to managing drilling projects in the Rocky Mountains for Union
Pacific, Tesoro, and Louisiana Land and Exploration. Bill has a Geological Engineering
Degree from Princeton and an MBA from Tulane University.

Gordon Jaremko, Canadian Correspondent in Calgary, worked as a reporter and editor
for Canadian daily newspapers, wire services and monthly magazines for 38 years in Calgary,
Edmonton and Ottawa, primarily covering politics, economics and business with emphasis on
the Alberta petroleum industry. He has contributed to four books and since this January
has become an independent contractor engaged on two history projects. He has been
contributing to Intelligence Press since 1986.
